Sydney has a new harbourside dining venue in Altum opening this week at Milsons Point, adjacent to Luna Park Sydney. Altum, meaning tide in Latin, boasts spectacular views over Sydney Harbour to the Opera House and debuts with a summer menu that draws on the flavours of the Mediterranean coastline, and all served in a smart casual dining room just metres from the shore.
There's nothing we enjoy more on a cold night than a big bowl of Middle Eastern flavoured seafood, blue swimmer crab, Spencer gulf mussels, Guernard, and a grilled king prawn with a chickpea broth, plus some bread to mop up any leftover stew. A great combination of spices and Australian seafood, and relatively easy to put together.
We are now in the middle of what we call winter in Sydney and whilst the sun might be glistening on the Harbour there is a chill in the air and our thoughts still turn to comfort food! One of our favourite dishes on the menu is the Rabbit Pappardelle!
